AIWise Cleaner Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how AIWise Cleaner, an application developed by NextStep AI Labs, processes personal information and device data when used on iOS or Android devices. We recognize that privacy is a foundational product requirement and design the app to operate in a manner that is local, limited, and user-controlled.

1. Overview

AIWise Cleaner is designed to help users identify duplicate and similar photos, review image groups, and remove unwanted images from their device library. The application performs its photo analysis on the user’s device and does not transmit photos or photo content to a remote server for processing.

2. Information AIWise Cleaner app may access on device

To provide the core cleanup functionality, the application may access the following information from the user’s device:

• Photo library metadata reasonably necessary to identify photos contained in the user’s gallery.
• Camera roll information and timestamps necessary to organize and review image groups.
• Basic app usage information necessary to maintain the proper functioning of the application on the device.
• Device-level information, including app version and platform details, for reliability, troubleshooting, and support.

The application does not require remote server processing in order to evaluate or compare photos. All such activity is performed on the device, under the user’s control.

3. How the app uses photo data

The application uses user photo data for the following limited purposes:

• To identify duplicate or similar photos within the user’s gallery.
• To group likely matches so the user may compare them side by side.
• To assist the user in deciding which images to retain or remove.
• To support a clean and user-controlled photo management experience.

This processing is intended to help users reclaim storage, reduce clutter, and preserve the most relevant image in each group while maintaining meaningful user review and consent before deletion.

4. Local processing and cloud independence

AIWise Cleaner is designed to operate entirely on the device. The application analyzes the photos the user selects for review and presents the results within the app without sending the photos or their contents back to a server for processing.

We prioritize local processing in order to protect user privacy and to minimize the likelihood that personal media leaves the device environment. The application is not designed to upload or store user photos in a remote system as part of the core cleanup workflow.

5. Device permissions

AIWise Cleaner may request access to the photo library and related device permissions as needed:

• iOS: photo library access for viewing and managing images.
• Android: image/media permissions required to load local photos for comparison.
• Notifications or app-level operational permissions only if required by the platform to deliver the app experience.

The app only accesses the media you explicitly permit and does not request broader access than is necessary for the feature set described in the app.

6. Data sharing and third parties

AIWise Cleaner does not intentionally share user photos, photo metadata, or similarity results with marketing partners, advertising networks, or unrelated third parties for resale or data brokerage.

We may use standard platform services for app functionality, analytics, crash reporting, or customer support, but only in a manner consistent with our privacy commitments. If any external service is later introduced, it will be disclosed transparently and, where required, governed by updated privacy terms.

7. User control and deletion

You remain in control of the cleanup process. AIWise Cleaner groups images and lets you review each result before any deletion is confirmed. The app does not delete photos automatically without your explicit review and action.

If you revoke media permissions or uninstall the app, the app may no longer have access to the device library. Any locally stored cache or analysis data should be managed according to your device settings and app storage controls.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect local processing and app data from unauthorized access, misuse, and loss. Because the app is designed to operate locally, the strongest privacy protection is that your photo content is not routinely transmitted off device for centralized processing.

9. Retention

We do not retain full photo archives in cloud storage as part of the core app workflow. If the application creates temporary local information on the device to improve performance or grouping, such information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for app functionality and is not sent to a remote server for processing.

10. Proprietary rights and restricted use

All software, source code, assets, product documentation, design materials, and related content associated with AIWise Cleaner are proprietary to NextStep AI Labs and are protected by applicable copyright, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You may use the application only in accordance with the intended user experience and any applicable terms and conditions. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, share, publish, reverse engineer, decompile, modify, repurpose, or otherwise disclose any part of the app, codebase, source files, design assets, or project materials without prior written authorization from NextStep AI Labs.

This restriction includes, but is not limited to, source code, documentation, app interfaces, product materials, and any internal or proprietary information related to this product or any other project owned or developed by the company.

11. Children and sensitive data

AIWise Cleaner is not directed to children under the age of 13, and users should not upload or process private or sensitive data that they do not want accessed by the app. The app is intended for personal library cleanup and should be used in accordance with the user’s own privacy and consent decisions.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new features, legal requirements, or product changes. If material changes are made, we will update the effective date and communicate the update in a visible manner where appropriate.
